DTEX Completes IRAP Assessment

3

Building security excellence for Australian government environments

At DTEX, we have always believed that trust is earned through action. That’s why we’re proud to announce that DTEX successfully completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment, a significant milestone that validates our commitment to security, compliance, and protecting the most sensitive government environments.

While compliance programs can be viewed as a checkbox exercise, IRAP represents something far more meaningful. It provides Australian Government agencies with confidence that the cloud services they rely on have been independently assessed against rigorous security requirements. For DTEX, it demonstrates that our platform has undergone a comprehensive security evaluation and can support government organizations as they navigate increasingly complex insider, data, and AI-related risks.

What is IRAP?

The Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) is the Australian Government’s framework for independently assessing the security posture of technology providers seeking to host government information and workloads.

In many ways, IRAP serves as Australia’s equivalent of FedRAMP in the United States. Both frameworks establish a standardized approach for evaluating cloud service security, validating security controls, and helping government organizations make informed decisions about the technologies they deploy. While the programs differ in structure and governance, they share the common goal of ensuring that cloud providers meet stringent cyber security requirements before being trusted with government data.

Why complete the IRAP assessment

Government organizations face a growing challenge. They must protect sensitive information, modernize legacy environments, embrace AI-driven innovation, and strengthen cyber resilience while maintaining strict compliance with evolving regulations.

At the same time, organizations are confronting a broader range of threats than ever before. Insider threats, credential misuse, risky AI interactions, data exfiltration, and accidental exposure of sensitive information all present significant risks to public sector operations.

Completing the IRAP assessment demonstrates that DTEX is prepared to support the security requirements of Australian Government agencies and departments. It provides confidence that the DTEX Platform has undergone rigorous scrutiny and can be deployed within environments where security, privacy, and compliance are essential requirements.

For customers, partners, and prospects, the assessment represents independent validation that DTEX maintains the operational discipline, security controls, and governance practices required to support highly regulated environments.

Enabling deployment for the Australian Government

Australia continues to invest heavily in strengthening its cyber resilience and modernizing government technology platforms. As agencies increasingly adopt cloud-first strategies and explore AI-enabled capabilities, the need for trusted and thoroughly assessed technology partners has never been greater.

Completing the IRAP assessment enables the DTEX Platform to be hosted for Australian Government organizations, helping streamline security evaluations and accelerating the path to adoption for agencies seeking advanced insider risk, data protection, and AI risk management capabilities.

Just as FedRAMP authorization provides confidence for U.S. federal agencies, IRAP assessment provides Australian government stakeholders with a recognized framework for evaluating cloud service security and operational maturity.

A milestone for security excellence

Completing our IRAP assessment is an important milestone, but it’s not the finish line. It represents another step in our ongoing commitment to earning customer trust and delivering a platform that meets the highest standards of security, governance, and operational excellence.

As Australian Government agencies continue to modernize their environments, strengthen cyber resilience, and adopt AI technologies, the need for trusted security partners will continue to grow.

We’re proud to have reached this milestone and excited about what it means for current and future customers across Australia. More importantly, we’re committed to continuing the work required to maintain that trust and help organizations securely navigate the next era of human, data, and AI risk management.
