DTEX Achieves TX-RAMP Certification

5

A milestone for security, trust, and public sector innovation

At DTEX, we have always believed that trust is earned through action. That’s why we’re proud to announce that DTEX has achieved TX-RAMP certification, an important milestone that validates our commitment to security, compliance, and protecting some of the most sensitive data environments and critical infrastructure in the country.

While certifications are often viewed as a checkbox exercise, TX-RAMP represents something much more significant. It provides Texas state agencies with confidence that the cloud services they rely on have undergone rigorous security assessment, authorization, and ongoing monitoring. For DTEX, it demonstrates that our platform meets the stringent security standards required to support public sector organizations as they navigate increasingly complex insider, data, and AI-related risks.

What is TX-RAMP?

The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) is the State of Texas’ standardized framework for assessing and authorizing cloud computing services used by state agencies. The program was established to ensure that cloud providers implement appropriate security controls and maintain continuous oversight over the environments that process government data.

In many ways, TX-RAMP serves as a state-level equivalent to FedRAMP, bringing a consistent approach to cloud security evaluation and helping agencies make informed decisions about the technologies they deploy. The program includes defined security requirements, independent assessments, and ongoing compliance obligations designed to reduce risk across the Texas public sector. Building on DTEX’s existing FedRAMP authorization, TX-RAMP certification extends that proven security foundation to Texas state agencies and institutions.

For agencies, TX-RAMP provides assurance. For technology providers, it requires a significant investment in security maturity, documentation, operational processes, and continuous monitoring capabilities.

Why DTEX TX-RAMP certification matters

Government organizations face an increasingly difficult challenge. They must protect sensitive information, enable workforce productivity, embrace AI and digital transformation initiatives, and maintain compliance with evolving cybersecurity requirements, all while operating under intense scrutiny.

At the same time, threats are no longer limited to external attackers. Insider threats, data misuse, credential compromise, risky AI interactions, and accidental data exposure have become major concerns for public sector security teams. The reality is that agencies need partners they can trust.

Achieving TX-RAMP certification demonstrates that DTEX is prepared to meet the security expectations of state government organizations and the citizens they serve. It provides agencies with confidence that the DTEX Platform has been evaluated against rigorous security requirements and can be deployed within environments where security, privacy, and compliance are non-negotiable.

More than a compliance badge

We view TX-RAMP as more than a certification. It’s validation of the security-first approach that has been foundational to DTEX from the beginning.

Organizations choose DTEX because they need visibility into human, AI, and data risk using the best tools available. Our platform is designed to surface risky behaviors, identify potential threats early, and provide security teams with the context required to act before incidents escalate.

Achieving TX-RAMP certification reinforces our commitment to delivering these capabilities through a platform built with security and behavioral science at its core.

For our customers, partners, and prospects, the certification serves as independent validation that DTEX maintains the operational discipline, security controls, and monitoring processes required to support our nation’s public sector resources. For our customers, partners, and prospects, the certification serves as independent validation that DTEX maintains the operational discipline, security controls, and monitoring processes required to support our nation’s public sector resources. The TX-RAMP certification is available in our Trust Center for customers and prospects who want to review it directly.

Expanding opportunities across the Texas public sector

Texas is one of the largest and most influential public sector markets in the United States. State agencies, higher education institutions, and other public organizations are increasingly looking for innovative technologies that help them address evolving cyber risks while meeting state compliance requirements.

TX-RAMP certification helps streamline the procurement and evaluation process for these organizations by providing a recognized framework for cloud security assurance. Rather than starting from scratch when evaluating a vendor’s security posture, agencies can leverage the standardized assessment and certification process established by the program. TX-RAMP certification helps streamline the procurement and evaluation process for these organizations by providing a recognized framework for cloud security assurance. Rather than starting from scratch when evaluating a vendor’s security posture, agencies can leverage the standardized assessment and certification process established by the program. DTEX is now listed on the State of Texas DIR TX-RAMP Certified Cloud Products list, giving agencies a direct, verifiable reference during procurement.

And while TX-RAMP certification is specific to Texas, the security controls, assessment rigor, and continuous monitoring requirements align with broader state and local government cybersecurity initiatives across the United States. By achieving TX-RAMP certification, DTEX not only strengthens its ability to serve Texas agencies but also demonstrates the security maturity increasingly expected by public sector organizations nationwide.

Security is a journey, not a destination

One of the most important aspects of TX-RAMP is that certification is not a one-time achievement. The program emphasizes continuous monitoring and ongoing compliance to help ensure that security remains an operational priority. That philosophy aligns closely with how DTEX approaches risk management.

Threats evolve. Technology changes. New attack methods emerge. AI introduces new opportunities and new risks. Organizations need security programs that continuously adapt rather than relying on static controls and periodic audits.

Our mission has always been to help organizations move from reactive investigations to proactive risk management. The same mindset applies to how we manage our own security program.

Looking ahead

Achieving TX-RAMP certification is an important milestone, but it’s not the finish line. It’s another step in our ongoing commitment to earning the trust of our customers and delivering a platform that meets the highest standards of security and governance.

As organizations across the public sector continue to modernize their environments, adopt AI technologies, and confront increasingly sophisticated threats, the need for trusted security partners has never been greater.

We’re proud that DTEX now joins the growing community of cloud providers that have demonstrated compliance with the TX-RAMP framework. More importantly, we’re excited about what this means for current and future customers throughout Texas and beyond.
